Women. Words. Wisdom: Haryana Council Event, 2nd July 2023
Inauguration and launch of WICCI Talks, Overleaf Book Club & WeNext Tech Club: An eventful evening at Kunzum Gurgaon, a momentous occasion for Haryana Council! Sharing some moments that were magical!
Dear readers,
On Sunday, 2nd July we had a wonderful and exciting day at the 'Women. Words. Wisdom' event by Haryana Arts Council in collaboration with Delhi Poetry Festival in Gurugram. Insights, discussions, inauguration of new initiatives, and poetry reading made the occasion engaging. It was truly an inclusive and vibrant space for thoughts, discussions, and action, forging connections that will transcend this gathering and extend into our communities.
Opening addresses were made by Komal Gupta, President of Haryana Arts Council, and Dolly Singh, Founder, Delhi Poetry Festival. We had the first inaugural talk of WICCI Talks by National Vice President Ramanjit Kaur on 'Breaking Barriers – Empowering Women through Networks in Arts and Leadership’. An inspirational and thought-provoking talk that showed myriad ways of gender equality and achieving it. We were delighted to have Ms Kaur grace the occasion and were deeply motivated by her support and encouragement in launching this remarkable initiative.
The first event of the Overleaf Book Club featured two eminent speakers, author Supriya Kaur Dhaliwal and poet, writer, and political theorist Manash Firaq Bhattacharjee, in an enlightening discussion and book reading of Ms Dhaliwal’s poetry collection, The Yak Dilemma. And this is just the beginning. The WeNext Tech Club is soon to start off with exciting events!
We thank all who came and made this momentous event a memorable experience. Your enthusiasm and support are invaluable as we embark on this journey of exploration, learning, and growth together.
A Note from the President, Komal Gupta:
