It's October and We Celebrate Our 2nd Anniversary!

As we celebrate the second anniversary of the Haryana Arts Council Newsletter, we reflect on a journey that has beautifully woven together Haryana’s rich history, vibrant arts, and cultural heritage. Over the past two years, this newsletter has evolved into a key platform, spotlighting the stories of our Council members, their endeavours, and the various events that have shaped the Council since its formation. With the Council’s steady growth, the newsletter too has matured, adapting to changes in leadership while remaining committed to knowledge sharing and community building. As we move forward, we are excited for even more growth, collaborations, and deeper connections within the arts community.

WICCI Haryana Baithak, 20th September 2024

🌟 What a beautiful start to Season 2 of the Haryana Arts Council! The Haryana Baithak, held on 20th September 2024, saw a vibrant and supportive community come together for an evening of creativity and connection. Captivating poetry by Council Member Rajni Sardana, intriguing anecdotes from Haryana Council Advisor Colonel Yogender Singh, and mesmerizing music by Armaan Batra created a perfect atmosphere. Council Member Prerna Karidhal gave an informative product demonstration of her sunscreen brand ‘Qurez’.

The Council extends a heartfelt thank you to Council Member Dolly Singh for her gracious hospitality, which made the event even more special.

Building on the strong foundation of continuous collaborative efforts, the Haryana Arts Council is already soaring to new heights. Here’s to many more moments of solidarity, growth, and inspiration!

Here is a beautiful poem penned by Council Member Rajni Sardana on the occasion of the first Haryana Baithak. Be inspired!

आप सभी के लिये और जो कल साथ थे उनके लिये

कभी कभी कोई दिन और

उस दिन के कुछ पल

बहुत हसीन हो जाते हैं

कुछ नये ,कुछ पुराने मिल कर रंगीन हो जाते हैं

कुछ लोग जो कल तक थे अजनबी वो दोस्त और अज़ीज़ हो जाते हैं

कुछ यूँ मिलते हैं कि दिल के करीब हो जाते हैं

कुछ उन पलों में अपनी शख़्सियत की ख़ास छाप छोड़ जाते है

कुछ होते हैं ना उन पलों को ख़ुशगंवार बना देते हैं

कुछ अपनी थोड़ी सी कोशिश से किसी को ख़ुशी दे जाते हैं

कुछ अपनी राहों में दूसरों का हाथ थाम लेते है

कुछ मंज़िल तक पहुँच अपनी यात्रा साँझा कर,

राह दिखला जाते हैं

कुछ रास्ता तय कर उन राहों का पता बता देते है

कुछ अपनी मुस्कुराहट से हँसा जाते हैं

कुछ चुप रह कर भी अपनी उपस्थिति दर्ज करा लेते हैं

कुछ बहुत प्यारे से बस प्यारे ही होते हैं

कुछ एक उस वक़्त वहाँ ना होने पर भी वहीं महसूस होते हैं

कुछ एक अपने हुनर से उन पलों को यादगार बना देते हैं

कुछ एक बड़े प्यारे मेजबान होते हैं और

कुछ एक बड़े प्यारे मेहमान होते हैं

कुछ एक दिन में कल ऐसा ही दिन था

WICCI Haryana Art Council का मिलन था

कुछ कविताएँ, कुछ संगीत, कुछ गीत, कुछ हुनर, कुछ नई शुरुआत,

कुछ नया करने का एलान,

अहा! बहुत प्यारा दिन और बहुत प्यारे लोग

Here’s another moving poem by Rajni Sardana

मैं तुझमें ही जीता हूँ

वो हर वक़्त मेरे आगे पीछे घूमती है
मैं उसे जताता हूँ कि अब मैं बड़ा हो गया हूँ
ना करे ऐसा,
लेकिन सच ये है कि उनकी जरूरत पड़ती है
ये बात उन्हें मालूम होती है
वो ‘माँ’ जो है मेरी ।

मेरी बहन अक्सर झगड़ती है मुझसे,
मैं दुत्कार देता हूँ उसे,
वो फिर सब मजाक में उड़ा कर मेरे पास आती है
मैं उसे कायदे में रहने को कहता हूँ
वो सहम जाती है
पर जब मैं परेशान होता हूँ
वो किसी दोस्त की भाँति मेरी मदद करती है
शक्ति बन जाती है मेरी ।

मेरी पत्नी भी मुझ पर अधिकार जता कर टोकती है
कभी खाना, कभी पहनना, सोना, उठना, सैर और ना जाने क्या-क्या,
मैं उसे जताता हूँ कि वो मेरी माँ ना बने,
वो हर चीज़ के लिये मुझ पर निर्भर है,
अपना काम देखे,
पर फिर भी वो सब करती है
और मैं सच्चाई से भाग नहीं पाता,
उसके कहीं चले जाने से मुझे अपनी कही बात झूठी लगती है।

अब मेरी बेटी भी है
अभी ज्यादा बड़ी नहीं है
पर वो भी मुझे प्यार से थपकी देती है
मेरे माथे पर नन्हे हाथ फेर कर मेरी थकान दूर कर देती है
जिसके जन्म पर मुझे लगा बेटी हुई है बेटा नहीं
मैं झुठला नहीं सकता मुझे उससे अब बेइंतिहा प्यार है ।

मैं अक्सर गहरी सोच में डूब जाता हूँ,
मुझे लगता है पुरुष से ही सारा संसार चलता है,
वही कर्ता-बरता है,
पर हर बार मेरे अहम की नैया डूब जाती है
तब मुझे जो दिखाई देता है वो सबसे बड़ा सत्य है
माँ, बहन, पत्नी, बेटी … नारी, औरत
धन्य है
सत्य है
हे नारी
मैं तुझमें ही जीवित रहता हूँ
तेरे भीतर ही तो मेरा अस्तित्व पलता है
तू हर रूप में मुझे प्रेम देती है।
