February, the Harbinger of Change: Photo Essay by Gagan Brar
Council member Gagan Brar is back with yet another visual delight, a photo essay celebrating the bliss and beauty of February
February is a month of transition … from harsh winter to crisp, sunny days. The scent of fresh leaves fills the air, as if alerting us to the impending arrival of spring, inviting us to slow down and take a whiff.
It is a season of melas. The Surajkund International Crafts Mela, just concluded, is a colourful celebration of our heritage and diversity.
The migratory population also starts showing up. The sight of potters, small vendors, crafters gives quiet respite from the rush of city life.
Coexistence – a common sight in Gurgaon, the city I call home.
The day may be drowned in smog, but dusk unfailingly brings along a breathtaking sunset, as if reassuring us, ‘This too shall pass!’
Hope these photos brought you peace and joy. My first photo essay for WICCI, Her in Haryana, can be viewed here.
Thank you!
